Singingbird Yoga & Birth support holds Hatha yoga and Prenatal yoga at a little women's hall in Woy Woy on the Central Coast.
I offer Doula (birth support) services for women and their families, VBAC support, Postnatal support and Birth workshops for women and their partners.
I also offer Reiki for everyone & for pregnancy and birth for relaxation, stress and muscular release.
Private & group classes are available on request.

WED 19TH JUNE YOGA WORKSHOP - 'NO MORE MUMMY GUILT'
Ever feel guilty for taking time away from your kids? Do you feel like a bad mum when you put your kids into childcare or leave them for a few hours with your husband/partner to do some things of your own?
If this is you, and I can guarantee its a lot of you, this workshop will give you great insight into how you can 'make' time for yourself, be more direct about what you need, re-establish your sense of worth and make you feel more grounded.

I am very happy to create postnatal or mums & bubs yoga classes at your house privately or in groups. Please email me or call me if you are interested. I know a lot of you were looking forward to it and I'm deeply sorry about this.

The picture to the left is of the very special Central Coast YURT! Yes I said YURT! Its on a property in Ourimbah and I'll be starting a new PRENATAL Yoga class there.

Garudasana - Eagle Pose.
One of my favourite poses. Why? Because I love the wonderful opening I feel through my shoulders, shoulder blades and between my shoulder blades (trapezius muscle). I also love the balancing aspect of the pose, with one leg crossed over the other. A truly rewarding pose and one that can be adjusted to suit your body. For example, instead of wrapping the foot all the way around the calf, it can go directly next to your grounded foot, for extra stability and practice in balance. Also instead of binding the hands together, you can place the backs of your palms together for a gentler variation.
Listening to your body is key here. You should always do what is right for your body shape and ability. Never try to copy your teacher or compromise your alignment for the glory of the pose. :)
Breathing with awareness and with an equal ratio breath will always help you balance more effectively.
